The RETAILER materials
These materials have been developed for use as part of the RETAILER Programme. Some of the materials have been developed specifically for RETAILER, and some have been adapted from the materials developed for the ARU SESAME (Small Enterprise Sensitive Accessible Management Education) programme.
The materials have been targetted at areas of key importance and concern to small retailers, and these areas are listed at the left of this page. The materials themselves are presented as Adobe Acrobat (PDF) files, and can be viewed by anyone with Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on their computer.
To gain the greatest benefit from the RETAILER materials, they are best used in conjunction with the free training and support provided by the RETAILER programme mentors. To find out more about joining the RETAILER programme, click the Join RETAILER link above.
The materials
The materials for each area of retail business covered by the programme are accessible from the links at the left of this page. The training materials support the basic training requirements for all staff working in retail and provide training for managers and owners that relate to directing and managing their business.
The materials are intended to be studied or delivered in the work place in small, intellectually digestible chunks that can be delivered during the quieter moments of the working day.
